We have testimonies from family members, yet the most important testimonies come from our residents as we provide personal care, activities, and experiences which enhance their personal lives. As one of our clients stated when returning home from an outing with family, "It's good to be home!" What more can be said...
Testimonials Rick and Kristi Wasmund and the staff at Calebria House (High Point Assisted Living) cared for my sister during a phase of her degenerative disease. The inabilities associated with her condition have made working with her, providing her a good quality of life and caring for her physical and emotional needs a challenge for all of her caregivers.
Calebria House has a home-like atmosphere and Rick, Kristi and the staff treated my sister and the other residents as if they were part of their family.
They are kind, caring and Christian oriented individuals who worked tirelessly to give my sister the best quality of life she was capable of having. They worked hard to find activities for her both in the home and in the community and they were kind, persuasive and supportive in getting her to put forth the effort to enjoy them.
They were diligent in attending to her medical needs. They often joined us in doctor visits or working with hospital staff so as to better understand her conditions and provide supporting observations to improve her health care and living environment.
Whenever we would visit we always found the residents happy and usually engaged in an activity. The house was always clean and well kept. They always had meals that were nutritionally sound that the residents liked.
We were sad when my sister’s condition progressed to the point she needed greater care than Calebria House could provide. While Rick and Kristi were helpful in finding another quality residence for her, I doubt we will ever find another place for her where she will get the personalized loving attention and quality of life she experienced at Calebria house.
I would highly recommend Calebria House to anyone seeking quality care for a loved one. ~Brian T
Our family has been blessed by finding a loving home such as Calebria House for our dad. Rick and Kristi make sure the individual needs are met with each person.
It has been wonderful to hear my dad call this place home. Dad says that it's the people in it that make it a home. I am very pleased that everything is kept neat, and the care is always met for each individual. Thank you for providing such a loving home. ~Mary P
We had the opportunity to relocate our dad back to his hometown and closer to the family members still living in the Burlington area. When the social worker assigned to dad called and said there was a new assisted living home that opened up in Burlington and thought we should take a look at it. That was the best thing we ever did. Having him back in town and the care the home provided was terrific. You could even see it in dad that he knew he was home. He gets out for his daily walks as long as the weather allows him and walks inside when it’s not so good.
They keep great records of his medicine, the health supplies he needs and let us know everything he does. We have quarterly reviews with the social worker and the county nurse and annual reviews with Rick and Kristi Wasmund who are the owners of the home. They have full-time staff and all are capable for managing the daily routine at the home.
They provide well balanced meals and take the time for a few field trips. Dad was never so happy to get back into his hometown and have the chance to get out during the day. As the family has watched dad, we have never worry about the care he is getting at the High Point Assisted Living/Calebria.
We all feel so welcome whenever we stop in to visit. I would recommend this home to anyone who needs assisted living ~Tom V "Is this where I would want to live?" That is the barometer I used when researching & touring assisted living facilities for my mother. I visited approximately 15 places within a 60 mile radius of my home and then I chose High Point Assisted Living/Calebria. My mother thrived at Calebria for 3 years. In her journey with dementia, she was very well care by the exceptional staff. I am comforted in the fact that my mother was able to live her final years among such caring, dedicated, respectful & professional caregivers that I now call friends.
No matter which place you choose for your loved one, ask yourself, "Is this where I would want to live?" ~Kim J
